Voice Practice & Exercises

the surprising benefits of a regular voice practice for women

For many women, finding their voice and expressing themselves can be a challenge. Whether it is due to societal pressures for millennia (!!!), fear of judgment, or lack of confidence, many women struggle to assert themselves and to communicate effectively.

However, a regular voice practice can be a powerful tool for women to find more confidence, enhance their communication skills, and liberate themselves in their creative ways to express themselves.

A voice practice involves exercises and techniques designed to improve the quality, range, and power of one’s voice and efficiency to communicate.
This includes breathing exercises, vocal warm-ups, recording and listening to our own voice and techniques for projecting and articulating one’s voice. By practicing these techniques regularly, women can develop a stronger, more confident voice which helps to communicate more effectively and assert themselves in various situations.

One of the key benefits of a voice practice is increased confidence.

By practicing their voice and developing a stronger, more confident tone and vibration, women can feel more empowered and self-assured.
This helps with speaking up in meetings, negotiating better pays, achieving goals and asserting themselves in other areas of their lives.

Another benefit of a regular voice practice is enhanced communication skills.
Effective communication is essential in both personal and professional relationships, and women who are able to communicate effectively are more likely to succeed in their careers and personal lives.

A regular voice practice is the perfect instrument to liberate women in their creative ways to express themselves.

Many women are creative and have a desire to express themselves through art, music, writing, or other forms of creative expression. However, fear of judgment or lack of confidence can hold them back from pursuing their creative passions. By practicing their voice and developing a stronger, more confident tone and mere presence, women can feel more empowered to express themselves creatively and to share their unique perspectives with the world.

In addition to these benefits, a regular voice practice has a positive impact on women’s physical and mental health.
Breathing exercises and vocal warm-ups reduce stress and anxiety, improve posture and breathing. Special thyroid and pituitary gland exercises enhance hormonell balance, stimulate creativity and improve overall mental and physical health.

Whether in the workplace, in personal relationships, or in creative pursuits, a regular voice practice helps women to find their voice and to express themselves more fully and authentically. It’s a powerful tool to find more confidence, enhance communication skills, and liberate themselves in their creative ways to express themselves.

Thyroid Healing – Pineal Gland activation – Voice Practice

Expressing yourself, communicating more efficient with our outside world, means communicating better with our inside world, aka listening better to ourselves, sharpening our listening abilities!

So the first part of every practice is a breath sequence, where I want you to focus on the sound of your own breath (besides all the other incredible benefits that are coming with every breath workout – pranayam). Through our breath we exchange inexplicable amounts of information. Listen to the sound of it.
Listen to your innate sound current.
Our ability to express ourselves is deeply connected to our listening capacity.
(This is basically Ground Zero)

Second part of the practice is the decalcification and activation of the tongue, the pineal gland and the pituitary gland, synchronizing thereby our both brain hemispheres, creating whole brain thinking.
Balancing our hormones.
Activating our Intuition, our creative innovation center

Third part is the voice – finding stability in your own sound!

Metaphysics on Sound, Voice & Language

excerpts from the book: “Sacred sounds” by Ted Andrews

The occult significance of speech

Language is a magickal force and speech is its vehicle. It works intimately with the laws of manifestation. The ancient magicians knew how to manifest through the power of the speech and silence.

They knew how to employ language to open doors between humanity and subtle beings. They knew how to use language to pass the veil that separates the physical from the other dimensions and realities.

Helena Blavatsky’s book The Secret Doctrine defines magic as addressing the gods in their own language.

Language and thought occur independently, and yet there is an intimate relationship.

Our words and thoughts can become self-fulfilling prophecies. The more we think about something and the more we say something in conjunction with that thought, the stronger and quicker that energy will manifest with our physical lives.

The past cannot be changed, but the future is being shaped by our current thoughts and words. When we emit words that relate to our thoughts we are releasing that mental energy matrix into our physical lives.

THE POWER OF VOICE CONSCIOUSNESS

There is a strong correlation between our thoughts, voice and breath.

Through voice and breath, the mental energy created by our thoughts can be given manifestation within our lives.

Voice is a manifestation of breath,

and breath is life itself.

Breath is audible.

it is a word itself.

It is the life behind the words.

Our voice is our most creative and musical instrument. It has great power to touch our lives and the lives of others.

The voice is an expression of our spirit and character.

There is an interrelationship between the five elements of nature and the voice itself.

Becoming a Master of the Word involves learning to use all of these voices, singly or in combination, in a fully conscious manner.

THE ELEMENTS AND VOICE QUALITIES

Earth: hopeful, encouraging, tempting

Water: soothing, healing, intoxicating

Air: uplifting, calming, detached

Fire: arousing, exciting, frightening

Ether: inspiring, healing, harmonizing

we change our voice to suit our purposes. If we wish to be soothing, we take on a gentler tone. if we wish to strengthening encourage, we take a tone of voice that is steady and firm. Learning to work with the power of the Word requires we learn to do this shifting of vocalizations consciously and selectively.

A metaphysically trained voice has the capacity of adapting itself to the purpose at hand.

Our thoughts and the source of our thoughts influence the quality of our vocal sound – the timbre and the rhythm.

If we begin to open ourselves to our own innate higher energies, our voice color will go through changes.

It acquires greater resonance, power, and spirit. We pull more energy through our subtle bodies and our true spiritual essence, linking them with our physical vehicle.

By accessing our personal banks of spiritual energy, we alter the energy of our voices. The words and sounds we use gain strength and resonance, and they ring with an inner sense of authority.

The human voice conveys who you are through a unique combination of rhythm, melody, timbre and dynamics. It not only reveals who you are, but it reveals from what sphere or plane you draw your greatest energy.

Our voice is the personal vehicle for spiritual and creative expression.

It belongs to the physical body, but is the instrument of the spiritual self.

We do have a voice image, which pertains to the sound we produce and our persona.

The voice image is the sound or the voice that we either like or dislike, identify with or refuse to identify with. It has nothing to do with vocal abilities, and it is formed predominantly by the culture around the individual (peer group, family, mass media, etc)

How to use the voice from a greater, more metaphysical realm is the key to discovering our true identity and the key to transmuting our energy and lives.

natural and unnatural Pitch levels

We need to realize the full potential of our natural  voice – that which we often fail to use.

Each voice represents a unique personality that defines an individual’s character. Every voice has two predominant pitch levels: natural pitch level and habitual pitch level. If the two pitches differ, then the voice is being misused.

This misused pitch may be too high to too low.

We must learn to develop and enhance our natural voice frequency.

In Western society, people alter their natural pitch, creating an unnatural habitual voice.

We must learn to use our natural pitch and extend it, expand it to greater power and versatility.

Unfortunately, today we adopt voices through imitation and without regard to our natural pitch frequency.

We must find the pitch and octave most comfortable for us. Such a voice should be projected from the “mask”.

By learning to speak from the mask, the voice becomes more flexible and it is filled with greater expressiveness and warmth. It increases in its range and power, and its ability to resonate and create responses in others increases dramatically.

THE HEALING ASPECTS OF VOICE

Mantra Yoga is a teaching of human self-realization through the use of inner sounds or nadas that are awakened through outer toning and chanting.

In Tibetan beliefs, the most important musical instrument is the human voice, and the Tibetan shamans are trained in the use of outer sound projection to create inner, esoteric vibrations.

They learn to use the head and chest as resonance chambers for the entire human body.

The repeated toning of vowels creates a reverberation so that when the chanting stops, the sounds continue to echo within the mind and within the chambers of the body.

Each vowel  opens a particular part of the body. This part of the body should be visualized during the inhalation and also when the vowel is spoken or toned internally.

This inner sounding is the key to many metaphysical teachings concerning sound and mantra.

This method of opening by the vowels can be better understood if we realize that breath penetrates deeply into the region concerned, according to our thoughts. The vowel tones and together they open specific inner regions of the body or consciousness.

I – Back of the skull and head regions

E – throat, upper chest, head regions

A – chest cavity, heart, the body as a whole

O – lower trunk, abdomen, groin to solar plexus area

U – pelvis, hips, legs, feet, lower body in general

DIRECTED ESOTERIC TONING

The voice belongs to the physical body, but is the instrument of the spiritual self.

And we need to learn to use it as a tool for higher consciousness and greater health.

The voice releases power. It releases it in the direction of our thoughts, thereby sending the energy to the appropriate area of the body.

THE THOUGHTFORMS OF SPEECH

in the physical world, we are known by our speech, our reticence, by the things we say or leave unsaid. We are judged by the quality of our conversation. in everyday activity, we all think and build speech. Much of it is not worthwhile, or it is vitalized with the wrong kind of energy. Speech is how we connect while in the physical dimension. When we operate on other levels, our communication is less complicated. It operates along the lines of intuitive perception.
